
Thursday 6 September saw the world premiere of
David Gilmour's new live DVD
Remember That Night: David Gilmour Live At The Royal Albert Hall. The premiere was broadcast live to more than 40 participating cinemas in Austria, Denmark, England, Germany, The Netherlands, Scotland and Sweden. It included a live performance by Gilmour, a Q&A session and 85 minutes of the DVD concert film.
The evening started with a documentary on David's tour in 2006, which is also included on disc 2 of the DVD set. Then the screen switched to a live stream from London's Odeon, in Leicester Square. After a short introduction, David came on stage to perform
Castellorizon, which segued perfectly into the DVD footage of
On An Island. Many David Gilmour and
Pink Floyd material were shown, including
Take a Breath,
Time,
Wish You Were Here,
Echoes and
Arnold LAyne. Joining David on stage were David Crosby, Graham Nash and David Bowie. See also the article on the

After the concert film, David participated in a Q&A session with questions from the fans. The evening was concluded by a surprise live performance by David, who was joined on stage by his 2006 touring band, including Pink Floyd mate
